Hong Kong
Climate Week 2026
Science and policy for a carbon-neutral future
Asia's Premier Climate Gathering
Hong Kong Climate Week (HKCW) mobilizes the unique strengths in finance, technology, culture and policy to accelerate a just, inclusive and resilient net-zero transition. Building on the success of the 2024 and 2025 Hong Kong Climate Forums, this inaugural Climate Week will take place across the city's most iconic venues and innovation hubs. We invite governmental and business leaders to come together in new ways—leveraging Hong Kong's global influence to bridge international expertise with local action.
By convening diverse voices and perspectives, HKCW invites governmental and business leaders, professionals, innovators, and the wider public to come together in new and inclusive ways—leveraging Hong Kong's global connectivity to bridge international expertise with local action, and to catalyze climate solutions that are relevant for Asia and scalable beyond.
Research
Interdisciplinary science across climate, energy, environment and society.
Education
Training the next generation of climate leaders, scientists and engineers.
Policy and Impact
Translating evidence into actionable policy for Hong Kong and beyond.
“The next decade is our climate crossroads. Leveraging Hong Kong’s unique geography and deep connections to Mainland China, we are building the scientific foundations and talent pipelines necessary to reach net zero. The journey to a sustainable future starts here.
Our Institute convenes a powerful network of over 60 faculty members from ten diverse disciplines. By uniting atmospheric scientists and engineers with economists, legal scholars, and public health experts, we tackle the most critical challenges of Asia’s climate transition.
Our collaborative research focuses on three pillars: accelerating energy decarbonization, fortifying coastal resilience, and reimagining urban livability for a warming world. We invite students, researchers, policymakers and industry leaders to join us in this defining work.
