Youth and Frontier Science Take Centre Stage: HK–Macao Youth Forum, Earth Big Data and Venus Forum

SDGSAT-1 has shared 420,000+ images with 113 countries

The Youth Salon and Workshop on Climate Change Assessment in Hong Kong and Macao gathered young researchers from Tsinghua University, Peking University, HKU and HKUST, covering renewable power resilience, climate policy modelling and compound climate-pollution risks in the Greater Bay Area under the guidance of academicians and senior experts. Academician Guo Huadong highlighted achievements from SDGSAT-1, the world's first satellite dedicated to sustainable development, which has shared more than 420,000 images with 113 countries, and introduced the "LingXi SDGs" large model to address the SDG 13 data gap. Jointly organised by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and HKU, the Venus Forum convened leading academicians to explore planetary science and space physics, extending Climate Week's scientific perspective beyond Earth systems.
